ABOUT CAMPUS PHILLY, PHENND + DREXEL UNIVERSITY
Campus Philly is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization connecting college students to a Greater Philadelphia. Our programs work to establish Philadelphia as a city and region with a vibrant college population, so that new students will be drawn here, current students will become involved, existing businesses will thrive, and new businesses will be born.
The Philadelphia Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development (PHENND) is a consortium of over 40 colleges and universities in the greater Philadelphia area. PHENND works to build the capacity of its member institutions to develop mutually beneficial, sustained, and democratic community-based service-learning partnerships. The consortium actively seeks to revitalize local communities and schools and foster civic responsibility among the region's colleges and universities.
Drexel University’s Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) promotes the ideals of social responsibility and public service by facilitating community based experiential learning across the Philadelphia region. Civic engagement opportunities at Drexel happen both as part of classroom learning and out of class as volunteer and philanthropic activities. Through collaborations with the Philadelphia community we improve the public good while enriching the scholarship and character of the university. In this way, the CCE exists to fulfill Drexel’s vision as a comprehensive, progressive university with a deep commitment to public life.
