For the record: Top 10 Things We Wish We Had Done Before We Graduated

It's the Campus Philly staff and we're filling in until we unveil the identity of our new editor-in-chief next week (stay tuned!). Once again, May has arrived-That means it's time for cramming, two hour finals, packing and for some, graduating [insert dramatic music here]. As the full-time staff has all graduated from (a regional) college, we thought we'd compile a top 10 list of things we wish we had done before we graduated.

In no particular order, we wish we had:

1. Studied abroad (eating crepes doesn't count)
2. Taken advantage of more student discounts (more money for loan pay-backs)
3. Lived with friends (would have saved SEPTA tokens)
4. Went to a sporting event (and rocked face paint)
5. Went on a road trip across the US ("World's largest ball of yarn!")
6. Learn how to drive (or bike)
7. Tried more than one flavor of Ramen Noodles (there's chicken vs. beef debate)
8. Learned another language (or at least paid attention in language class)
9. Gone to class more (enough said)
10. Explored the City more (you should still check out campusphilly.org)

So congratulations and best of luck to all you graduates! If you're still looking for a job or professional-level internship, you should definitely check out Campus Philly's Opportunity Fair on June 16. For more information, visit www.campusphilly.org/careers

Philadelphia Cares About Fairmount Park Day 2009
Saturday, May 16th

On May 16th, join Greater Philadelphia Cares, the Fairmount Park Commission, and more than 1000 volunteers for Philadelphia Cares About Fairmount Park Day. Over 40 projects will take place at locations throughout the city, from the Northeast to South Philadelphia - and everywhere in between. In just a few short hours, this rain-or-shine event will help keep Fairmount Park clean and green for generations to come. From Pennypack Park in the Northeast to Morris Park in West Philadelphia, volunteers will battle invasive weeds & vines, paint benches, plant trees and pick up trash, beautifying the public park spaces we all know and love so well.
