This Friday, March 27 is the Greater Philadelphia Student Film Festival. It is the time of the year when the top 25 best films produced by college students like you, come together providing a night of entertainment and achievement. The festival has something for everyone with five award-winning categories: Comedy, Drama, Experimental, Documentary and Animation.
So what do you have to lose? Doors open at 6:15 p.m. at the Levitt Auditorium in Center City. Tickets are available online at $10 and $15 at the door. For more information visit www.gpsff.com

Philadelphia Film Festival and Cinefest
Students receive $1 off of single tickets for all screenings during the Philadelphia Film Festival and Cinefest showings when they show their Campus Philly discount tag. Red Cross Walk & Run to Save Lives
You can have fun and be a hero when you sign up for the Red Cross Walk & Run to Save Lives on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park! Help raise money for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Red Cross when you register as a walker or runner, start a team with friends/family, or sign up your dog at www.redcrosswalkandrun.org. There's food, fun and fundraising prizes!
Registration begins at 7:00 am and the walk and run will start at 8:30 am. The Red Cross Walk & Run supports programs and services to help you, your family and your neighbors prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. From choking to cardiac arrest and fires to floods, each emergency is random and unpredictable. Thanks to the support of friends like you, the Red Cross is there to answer the call for help, one family at a time, whenever and wherever disaster strikes.
$100 Art Contest for Students and 18-25 year-olds
The Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe is looking for imagery to represent The A.W.A.R.D. Show! 2009: Philadelphia in the 2009 Festival guide and website. Images can be created in any medium, and should be original, bold and eye-catching.
Important Dates:
ASAP: E-mail Alice Hershey (alice@livearts-fringe.org) with school, class year, and preferred e-mail address. You will receive additional information on the show and further direction on what the Festival's Artistic Director is seeking to achieve with the imagery.
