For the record: What’s My Age Again?
Tonight’s the night! The triumphant return of the beloved Blink-182 to the Philadelphia area tour circuit is finally here.
The support on this tour is out of control! Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Motion City Soundtrack, Planet Smashers, The All-American Rejects and Asher Roth have all been tapped as opening acts. But Camden hit the jackpot with Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French.
Blink was never in the category of “my favorite band,” but the guys definitely played a major part in my music education during high school. I jumped on the bandwagon with 1999’s Enema of the State, but soon grew to love the former Dude Ranch as well. So there is nowhere I’d rather be than rocking out at the Susquehanna Bank Center tonight.
There are numerous reasons behind Blink’s hiatus and even more leading up to their make-up. But tonight when the lights go down and those familiar tunes crank through the speaker, will anyone really care? Nope!
All us twenty-somethings will be time-traveling back to our teenage years when all that truly mattered was honest music, cult classic movies and long night drives with your friends.
What a great way to close out the summer!
