FOR THE RECORD: Running short on cash; no longer an excuse

As a college student, I know what its like to have no money but have the urge to do something special, unique and incredibly fun! Without the funding, you may think this is next to impossible. To be honest--this is just a figment of your imagination.

Philly understands college students have little funding. There are plenty of events that will spare the food money. Ideas? Check out the last few days of the Philly Fringe Festival, go to art exhibits around the area for next to nothing or join races and walks supporting cures. As for those who are flat broke: Mark September 27 with a huge star on your calendars. It's College Day on the Parkway offering free concerts, museums and tons more!

- Megan Pellegrino, Cabrini '09

Since 1987, thousands of fundraising walkers have gathered each year to participate in the region’s largest annual HIV/AIDS public awareness and fundraising event – a walk-a-thon and 10K Run.  Over $13 million has been raised for HIV/AIDS public awareness, prevention, and care services for people living with HIV disease.

AIDS Walk Philly is held annually on the third Sunday in October.  To learn more about AIDS Walk Philly, CLICK HERE.

Bertram Pincus is a man whose people skills leave much to be desired. When Pincus dies unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he wakes up to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see ghosts.  Even worse, they all want something from him, particularly
Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear), who pesters him into breaking up the
impending marriage of his widow Gwen (Téa Leoni).  That puts Pincus squarely in the middle of a triangle, with spirited results. To register, email kara@campusphilly.org.
