FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK
FOR
THE RECORD: Summer= Tans and New Beginnings
For the majority of us, summer has arrived! This is usually followed by
the question, "So when are we going down the shore?" As for me, my first
question was, "Where can I get an amazing job?" That question was soon
followed by, "When are we going down the shore?"
My name is Megan and I found my amazing job here at Campus Philly as your
new editor-in-chief. I am your typical English and Communication major
becoming a perfectionist in all aspects of the media: TV, radio and of
course writing and web! Friends usually refer to me as the overachiever
who knows what she wants and somehow will always gets it. Based on this
alone, I can guarantee if there is something unique and new going on around
the Philly area, I will be one of the first to know and relay that message
to you ASAP!
As for the shore, well I am just your typical Jersey girl going to the
beach just about everyday we have nothing else planned. Who can blame
me? Wouldn't you?
Now that school is over, get out there and do something. Find a great
job/internship, go to the park, beach or wherever you please. Most of
all do not be boring and sit in! There are a ton of upcoming activities
so get out there and get some sun!

PROMOTIONS
Win 2 tickets to see "Souvenir" at the Wilma Theater!
For more than half a century, the name Florence Foster Jenkins has been guaranteed to produce explosions of derisive laughter. Not unreasonably so, as this wealthy society eccentric suffered under the delusion that she was a great coloratura soprano when she was in fact incapable of producing two consecutive notes in tune. Nevertheless, her annual recitals in the ballroom of the Ritz Carlton hotel, where she resided, brought her extraordinary fame. As news of her terrible singing spread, so did her celebrity.
The Media Theatre’s production of "Souvenir" by Stephen Temperly and directed by Jesse Cline is onstage at The Wilma Theater June 17 – 29. Enter to win 2 tickets to see "Souvenir" on June 24, 25, 26, or 27. Email brittany@campusphilly.org
to enter and win by June 18, 2008. For more info., visit the Wilma Theater's website at http://www.wilmatheater.org or call the Box Office at 215.546.7824.
