FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK
FOR
THE RECORD: Recycling just became easier
Did you know that it is reported that only 5.5 percent of Philadelphia
households recycle? This is a pretty shocking statistic in an age when
the message, “go green” is all around. Someone would only
wish to assume that more than only 5.5 percent would be a recycling activist.
If your explanation for not choosing to recycle is because it’s
too complicated, guess what; you’re out of excuses!
This past Monday, July 7, The City of Philadelphia Recycling Center has
created a new service called “All Together Now.” How the campaign
works, is just as it sounds; every piece of cardboard, newspaper, metal,
plastic and glass are now aloud to intermingle with each other and share
the same bin. That’s right there’s only one recycling bin
necessary! So what’s your excuse now? This summer join together
and “go green.”
