FOR
THE RECORD: Stay warmed and stay informed!
The ball has dropped; the Mummers have marched. It is officially the start of a new year. With the start of a new year comes a lot of changes and this one is no exception! Mayor-Elect Michael Nutter will be taking office very soon, bringing in a new staff to help improve our city. On a national scale, the presidential candidates are out-and-about campaigning and preparing for the Iowa caucuses.
Be mindful and aware of all the issues that come up over the next couple of months. There is nothing worse than being uninformed about the issues—whether you believe it or not, they all have some impact on you.
One another note of new beginnings, school is starting for some schools next week. I know vacation may have seemed short, but don’t worry—there’s roughly 60 days left until spring break!

MLK Day 2008: A Day ON, Not A Day OFF
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day...Despite popular opinion, it's not just about no class and killer sales. It's about a man who never took a day off, and about living up to a legacy of caring for our communities.
So why not do something a little different this year? Campus Philly can show you how. www. campusphilly.org/mlkday
