FROM THE EDITOR'S
DESK
FOR
THE RECORD: Out
with the old...not quite.
I
know, I know. It's back. That means late nights (for studying), long waits
(for books) and early mornings (8 a.m. classes). Yet, not one of those
things really bothers me.
If there's
one thing that I really don't like about starting a new semester, it's
losing touch with some of your friends from last semester. Sure, you may
not have been extremely close, but you always sat next to one
another during your class and had the occasional study session or lunch
outing.
What I'm
trying to say is while try not to lose touch with old classmates. It can
be hard—conflicting schedules, commuting, works...you get the point.
Yet, try and set aside time to keep in touch with one another. Set aside
an hour for a coffee break. Make plans to go on an excursion in the city.
Instead of wondering what ever happened to so-and-so, keeping in touch
will allow you to call them up and find out what they're doing over the
weekend.

MLK Day 2008: A Day ON, Not A Day OFF
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day...Despite popular opinion, it's not just about no class and killer sales. It's about a man who never took a day off, and about living up to a legacy of caring for our communities.
So why not do something a little different this year? Campus Philly can show you how. www. campusphilly.org/mlkday
