FROM THE EDITOR'S
DESK
FOR
THE RECORD: Helping you (get an internship)...it's what we do.
I can't
believe that people are talking about spring break already (after all,
it's going to be my last!). Things are going by just a little too fast
for my liking, thank you very much.
Looking back
on the college career, one thing I can say was most helpful was getting
an internship. Now, before you start to groan and tune out anything, let's
just say this: It's the place where you take all of that wonderful knowledge
you're accruing at school and put it to use.
I know, I know. Teachers keep talking about and it can be a bit overwhelming.
Well, Campus Philly is here to help. Starting this Saturday, we're launching
an online internship fair. That's right—online!
Starting this Saturday, you can log onto campusphilly.org/careers
and register. After that, you can search through the database for
all different types of internships.
And you thought it would be hard, didn't you? We're all about helping
you make the most of your time here and that includes providing you with
all the latest information to help you enjoy your academic and social
times while you're in Philadelphia.
It's just what we do.

31st Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival

Foundation, the Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival gives fans the opportunity
to meet and take pictures with their favorite Flyers and Phantoms players and more!
The
Loved Ones
"Punk Rock 'n' roll" is the way R5 describes this band, and
that is straight on. Their style is edgy and sometimes in the form of
punk rock that you might have heard 10 years ago, but the riffs recall
the jams of fist pumping rock 'n' roll.
Monday, February
25
Villanova
vs. Marquette
The Wildcats host Marquette in a crucial late-season Big East men's showdown.
Tuesday, February
26
Sherwood
Pop rock act Sherwood were the first band ever signed to MySpace Records.
Their inspiring rock has given them a sizeable, dedicated fanbase, and
they'll be in full force at the North Star Bar. Also playing are Houston
Calls, The Higher and We Shot the Moon.
Winter
Adventure Tours
Winter Adventure Tours consist of a one-hour guided walk through the empty
penitentiary complex and include a cup of hot chocolate in the center
surveillance hub.
Wednesday, February
27
Chris
Rock—"No
Apologies"
"Saturday Night Live" alum and comedian, Chris Rock will perform
stand-up.
Drexel
vs. James Madison (men's basketball)
The Dragons host CAA foe James Madison at the Daskalakis Athletic Center
in their final home game of the season.
Thursday, February
28
The
Young Werewolves
The Young Werewolves are a Philly band that likes things fast, loud and
raw. When I saw raw, I don't mean it's raw to the point that they play
acoustic guitar and don't use an amp; I mean raw like...shredding strings
on an electric guitar.
Philadelphia
Flyers vs. Ottawa Senators
The Flyers play one of their biggest games of the season as they battle
Ottawa for first place in the Eastern Conference.
