FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK
FOR
THE RECORD: You think it won't make a difference (but it will,
so prove 'em wrong)
Okay so when it comes to voting, it seems like college kids have a bad
reputation. I know that for some you may be ding the absentee ballots
or for some, you're registered here, but regardless of location, the key
point is you should vote.
I'll spare any and all lectures. After all, I'm a college kid, too. But
think about how our votes can seriously affect what happens in the future.
We need to think of the issues that are occurring now and in the future—things
like the war, education, taxes, healthcare and social security, among
the other big issues. All eyes are on Pennsylvania, as we prepare to vote
for the primary election on April 22. Seriously, there are no excuses
not to vote. This will affect you, your friends, your family and every
other person in the nation.
You may think that one vote will no make difference, but it can. So go
voice your opinion. Show people that we do care about what's going on
today and what will happen in the future. Prove 'em wrong.
Voting for the Pennsylvania Primary is Tuesday, April 22, 2008.
