FOR THE RECORD: Tis the Season to be Stressed...

We have all had our nice five-day vacations to leave the books, forget everything and simply enjoy time with friends and family. Now, reality comes crashing down on all of us college students and relaxation and sleep are just a thing of the past. Yes it has come down to the home stretch of the fall semester.

Within these next few weeks, we are all bombarded with piles and piles of work. Sleep? What’s that? Both you and I know as college students we procrastinate final projects, but remember as you run around preparing for these project and tests get at least a few hours of sleep, eat healthy and just breathe. There is a light at the end of the tunnel called winter break.

Happy end of the semester :-)

Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
Make It a Day On, Not a Day Off
January 19th, 2009
Volunteer on January 19, 2009 during the MLK Day of Service, when tens of thousands of volunteers serve throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware in the largest King Day event in the nation.

Whether you're a civic organization or a group of friends, if you have an idea for a service project, you can participate in this year's event.  Many of your schools will be hosting events, but if your organization wants to be involved and doesn't have a project in mind, you can register for volunteer opportunities through the United Way's website.  Also, when you register your own project, you'll get free t-shirts and the ability to recruit extra volunteers.  We encourage you to use United Way's resources at mlkdayofservice.org to make this January 19th a day to make a difference in your community.

Apply for Campus Philly's 2nd Annual Alternative Spring Break

Visits to historic sites, vibrant and unique neighborhoods, and galleries and museums will be a few of the activities during this week of learning, serving, and loving Philadelphia.
