This is now: I've Got Chocolate to Keep Me Warm

Remember those balmy days about a month ago that everyone complained about? Now those same people are probably saying, "Global warming, schmobal marming—it's too cold!" Although I'd never write to you about something as trite as the weather, it prompts an important activity that I would like to address: drinking hot chocolate. I've polled Campus Philly staff to find the best places in town to buy a cup of molten cocoa.

This relatively new addition to the Italian Market serves up European hot cocoa so thick it's almost like pudding.

All variations can be found here: classic, bittersweet, Aztec, and spicy—served in espresso cups with tiny sipping spoons.

Want evidence that this rich, foamy froth is made from pure, melted chocolate? Just look at the bottom of your cup.

Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia, The Rotunda, 10 Ave. of the Arts
On Saturdays from Nov. through Feb., a "hot chocolate sommelier" serves ultra-rich, luxurious flavor combinations based on truffles.
