FROM THE DESK

2 Cool 4 School: We're not grown-ups yet

Most of us are in our late teens or early 20s, so we'd better start acting like it. Of course, we need to focus on responsibilities such as jobs, school and taking our potbellied pigs out for walks. Don't tell me you don't have a potbellied pig. The fact of the matter is, we're still young and we still have a little bit of life and vigor left in us. Take advantage of the summertime by getting in touch with your inner kid. In order to do this you'll need to engage in balloon and squirt-gun fights (keep your eye out for real guns), hopscotch,
eating ice cream, picnics in the park, and jumping in fountains (sans algae...unless you're into that). The weather is warm, albeit mostly gloomy, windy and rainy, so get out there and be an obnoxious kid. If you feel you're too "mature" for such foolish merriment, you can still look at our calendar below for some other entertaining and more "adult-like" options.

-Ellen Minsavage, Temple '06
