Jonathan Grabelle Herrmann
Executive Director
jon@campusphilly.org
215.988.1707 x106

Jon is an import -- grew up in North Jersey and perhaps not going back. He has served as Campus Philly’s founding executive director since 2001, following a position as the Marketing Manager at philly2nite.com.

As the head of Campus Philly, Jon has been recognized by regional organizations for outstanding leadership: Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 under 40 (2005), Leadership Philadelphia’s 101 Top Connectors (2006), and the Philadelphia Eagles’ 75 Greatest Living Philadelphians (2007).

With an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Jon has served as a member of the City of Philadelphia's Children's Commission, an advisor to Philly's More Fun Alliance (organized by Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation), past treasurer of the West Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, and a volunteer for Kol Tzedek Synagogue.

On the side, Jon has occasionally been known to design web sites or volunteer for his wife's synagogue Kol Tzedek. He thinks you should vote in the next election, you should check out the water ice at Fred's on 54th Street and Chester Ave, and you should get 30 of your dearest friends to sign up for Campus Philly's list serve.

Melanie Rago
Director of Policy and Development

Melanie is excited to return Philadelphia after a brief time away to work on her PhD in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Indiana University.  She graduated from Temple University in 1997 where she served as Vice President and President of Student Government.  Professionally, Melanie has been involved in student life on many levels including positions in student activities, Greek life, and leadership development.

Recently, she has decided to learn more about the behind the scenes activities in higher education including what gets students involved and engaged in a campus community and understanding why college students work and how their work impacts a community and its economy.

There are many things that Melanie is looking forward to reuniting with in Philadelphia, but good cup of coffee at Beau Monde, soft pretzels, and Ritz movies are at the top of her list.

Senior Manager, Events and Media Programs - Drexel University '07

Michelle went to Drexel University and is currently working on a few Japanese courses. One day she will be bilingual. At Campus Philly, as she settles into her new position as Senior Manager of Events and Media Programs, she will continue to manage advertising clients and the discount program, and the planning of the Campus Philly Kick-Off. She will also assist with web development (Campus Philly's getting a new website!) and oversee other department's programs to make sure everyone's happy and productive. Michelle likes macaroni and cheese and likes her cheesesteaks 'wiz with'. She would like to buy a pair of turntables soon to kick start her side career as DJ teriyaki. She also plans on taking hip-hop dance classes with Kara Ashe, Campus Philly's marketing manager.

Bob

Bob Jobin
Managing Associate of Community Engagement - University of Pennsylvania '06

bob@campusphilly.org
215.988.1707 x112

Bob is, by all accounts, not quite a mountain man. As such this Coloradoan, transplanted to Philadelphia via an undergraduate stint at Penn, now resides here full-time. He serves Campus Philly as a Philly Fellow and works on our burgeoning community involvement program. When not involved around the office, Bob's personal life contains copious amounts of soccer, art, and culinary adventure.

    Leyla Eraslan
Community Engagement Fellow, La Salle University '07
leyla@campusphilly.org
215.988.1707

Leyla got her start in the small, unassuming South Jersey town of Pemberton. Upon realizing that no one’s ever heard of Pemberton, she began telling people she was from Philadelphia. Eventually, her fibs caught up with her and she was actually forced to move to the city.

Luckily, Campus Philly liked the looks of her and hired her through the Philly Fellows program after she graduated from La Salle University, where she majored in English and minored in Sociology. As the Campus Philly Community Engagement Fellow, she aids in forming relations with nonprofits, planning civic engagement events, and hugging coworkers and the occasional tree.

In her spare time, she can be found hanging out with friends and loved ones, sweeping sidewalks and accepting spare change from strangers.
Brittany

If there's one thing that Brittany likes, it's music. It's a lifestyle, seriously. She even owns about 900 CDs and is always reviewing concerts. You should say hi.

Other things that Brittany likes include: Patrick Stump (of FOB), Johnny Depp (she even has a poster in her cubicle),iced tea, movies, words being used correctly, procrastinating, taking pictures, magazines, hanging with her friends, her puppy, laughing, internet blogs, rocks, reading, traveling and so many more great conversation starters.

Things that Brittany does not like include: homework, when people used words incorrectly, bragging, math, politics, spelling words incorrectly to make them seem cooler and cheese...

Kara

Kara Ashe
Manager, Marketing and Student Involvement
kara@campusphilly.org
215.988.1707 x109

This Baltimore native is set to take Philadelphia, then the WORLD, by storm. After graduating from Drexel University, Kara plans to open a series of Christian print and online magazines. After making her millions, she'll be chillin' in her California beach house with a super-fly husband and a Rottweiler named Bear Jr.

Justine

Justine Brining
Design Manager - Drexel University '08

justine@campusphilly.org
215.988.1707 x103

Justine is a senior at Drexel University with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Marketing. She was born and raised in South Jersey and moved to Philly for college, and she hopes to never leave. At Campus Philly, Justine gets to do what she loves most - designing all outgoing web and print materials. In her free time, she enjoys driving all over the country, skiing, spending time at the shore, dancing, drawing, her puppy Lady, and Wawa.

    Lucian Tucker
Graphic Designer - La Salle University '08
design@campusphilly.org
215.988.1707

Baltimore native, Lucian is a Digital Art major at La Salle University. He loves to work; he gets antsy when he is not working and has no assigned homework. Lucian spends his spare time writing poetry and short stories, strumming his guitar, and playing and reading about video games.
  Colleen McFadden
Projects - Villanova University '08
projects@campusphilly.org

Colleen is going into her senior year at Villanova, double majoring in English and Communication. She is currently working on Campus Philly’s fall notebook, a completely awesome guide for college students in and around the city. In her spare time, Colleen enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, fantasizing about Paris (the city not the person), and hugging trees as often as possible.

Clare

Clare Herlihy
Graduate Student Outreach - St. Joseph's University
gradstudents@campusphilly.org

Clare is a Maryland native, who graduated from St. Joe’s this spring with a degree in English.  She is continuing to enjoy the best that City Avenue has to offer as she completes her Master's Degree in Writing Studies at SJU.

At Campus Philly, Clare is the Professional Section Editor, where she attempts to help her fellow students find some form of employment after four magical years in the college “bubble.”  When she is not hanging out on the couch at the CP office, she enjoys working out and catering to the fashion whims of middle-aged women as a sales associate for Talbot's.  If she appears lost in thought, it is probably because she is daydreaming of her return to Galway, Ireland, where she spent a semester of her senior year.  After graduation, Clare plans to find public relations work at an international company that will pay for her to travel the world in style.

Kevin Tague
Business Representative - Temple University '09
kevin@campusphilly.org
215.988.1707 x108

Excited to be part of the Campus Philly crew, Kevin is looking forward to contributing to the organization's recent expansion. He is currently studying Advertising as a junior at Temple University and plans to minor in Marketing. At Campus Philly, Kevin assists with the management of advertising clients and the discount program, along with the planning of the Campus Philly Kick-Off, website, and newsletter.

In his free time, you can find him downtown, checking out the latest hot spots, restaurant/bar openings, cafés, special events, shopping, and cultural venues. In the future, Kevin hopes to be living and working in a major city at an advertising agency, while having the opportunity to work on some exciting accounts.
