Jonathan
Grabelle Herrmann
Executive Director
jon@campusphilly.org
215.988.1707 x106
Jon is an import -- grew up in North
Jersey and perhaps not going back. He
has served as Campus Philly’s
founding executive director since 2001,
following a position as the Marketing
Manager at philly2nite.com.
As the head of Campus Philly, Jon has
been recognized by regional organizations
for outstanding leadership: Philadelphia
Business Journal’s 40 under
40 (2005), Leadership Philadelphia’s
101 Top Connectors (2006),
and the Philadelphia Eagles’ 75
Greatest Living Philadelphians (2007).
With an undergraduate degree from the
University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton
School, Jon has served as a member of
the City of Philadelphia's Children's
Commission, an advisor to Philly's More
Fun Alliance (organized by Greater Philadelphia
Tourism Marketing Corporation), past
treasurer of the West Philadelphia Cultural
Alliance, and a volunteer for Kol Tzedek
Synagogue.
On the side, Jon has occasionally been
known to design web sites or volunteer
for his wife's synagogue Kol Tzedek.
He thinks you should vote in the next
election, you should check out the water
ice at Fred's on 54th Street and Chester
Ave, and you should get 30 of your dearest
friends to sign up for Campus Philly's
list serve.

Melanie is excited to return
Philadelphia after a brief time
away to work on her PhD in Higher
Education and Student Affairs
at Indiana University. She
graduated from Temple University
in 1997 where she served as Vice
President and President of Student
Government. Professionally,
Melanie has been involved in student
life on many levels including
positions in student activities,
Greek life, and leadership development.
Recently, she has decided to learn
more about the behind the scenes
activities in higher education
including what gets students involved
and engaged in a campus community
and understanding why college
students work and how their work
impacts a community and its economy.
There are many things that Melanie
is looking forward to reuniting
with in Philadelphia, but good
cup of coffee at Beau Monde, soft
pretzels, and Ritz movies are
at the top of her list.

If there's one thing that Brittany likes,
it's music. It's a lifestyle, seriously.
She even owns about 900 CDs and is always
reviewing concerts. You should say hi.
Other things (and people) that Brittany
likes include: Patrick Stump (of FOB),
Johnny Depp (she used to have a poster in
her cubicle), iced tea, movies, words
being used correctly, procrastinating,
taking pictures, magazines, hanging
with her friends, her puppy, laughing, internet
blogs, rocks, reading, traveling and
so many more great conversation starters.
Things that Brittany does not like include:
when people used words incorrectly,
bragging, math, politics, spelling words
incorrectly to make them seem cooler
and cheese...

Leyla
Eraslan Community
Engagement Fellow,
La Salle University
'07
leyla@campusphilly.org
215.988.1707
Leyla got her start in the small, unassuming
South Jersey town of Pemberton. Upon realizing
that no one’s ever heard of Pemberton,
she began telling people she was from
Philadelphia. Eventually, her fibs caught
up with her and she was actually forced
to move to the city.
Luckily, Campus Philly liked the looks
of her and hired her through the Philly
Fellows program after she graduated from
La Salle University, where she majored
in English and minored in Sociology. As
the Campus Philly Community Engagement
Fellow, she aids in forming relations
with nonprofits, planning civic engagement
events, and hugging coworkers and the
occasional tree.
In her spare time, she can be found hanging
out with friends and loved ones, sweeping
sidewalks and accepting spare change from
strangers.
